Cruising South Pacific from Sydney

Hey guys,

 

We're about to set sail on our first RC cruise on the Voyager of the seas in mid Feb, and just want a bit of hep with a few things.

 

- I've seen people mentioning getting discounts on the drinks packages, I've been looking for the last month on my booking on the RC website and haven't seen any discounts. How frequently do these appear or should I be looking somewhere else? And if we wait to book the drinks package on the ship does it work out being more expensive?

 

- USD is the only currency accepted in the Casino?

 

- do the TVs in the rooms have HDMI connections?

 

Any recommendations for first time travellers?

In your booking, look under "Cruise Countdown", there is an area where you can book drinks and restaurants. The drinks packages should be there. I just checked and it is not appearing at the moment but then the whole RCL site is being a bit stupid so they might be doing updates.

 

Currency for the Casino (and everything on board, including drinks and your final bill) is in $US.

 

Don't know about the HMDI but the TVs are fairly modern ones

Drink packages are currently $67 AUD online but were $65 USD on the ship. You can use your sea pass card and draw on your account in the Casino as well.

Sorry but I cannot remember if the HDMI socket was accessible.

No HDMI sockets in tv's on the Voyager. They have USB ports on Ovation
