terrierjohn Posted January 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Can anyone advise if and where there any special seating areas in the theatre for wheelchair users and their companions, and do you have a good sight line to the stage? I have checked the photos in the CC review section for Navigator OTS, but cannot see any special wheelchair seating. xxoocruiser Posted January 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) have you been to rome Just do a search of this forum to find accessible tour information for Rome as there have been quite of past posts. However make certain to read the date of the post to determine how current the information is Click of this link http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=190 Than go to the top right directly above the darker blue shaded area and click on " Search this Forum" Also do a GOOGLE search using the phrase " Wheelchair accessible tours in Rome" as several sites come up. terrierjohn Posted January 26, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) have you been to rome Yes we have, are you wanting info? We have only been once since my DW needed a W/c, did a panoramic city tour on a Celebrity cruise, full suze coach with lift at back for limited W/c users, rest of coach was for passengers wanting minimal walking. Interesting and worthwhile and finished with some free time near St Peters square. From our previous Rome tour experience before W/c, I don't think the normal tourist sights will be very wheelchair friendly. PS Thanks for your info on the theatre. Sequim88 Posted January 26, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) down to them secret way. Not sure about Navigator but on Mariner this involved entering a door marked Crew Only and using a small wheelchair elevator/lift that goes down maybe 4-5 feet then entering theater thought a side door near stage. We used it twice otherwise sat at the top where they have movable chairs to allow sitting with someone in a wheelchair. There was a curtain that closed off the theater from the lobby that was right behind us which was sometimes a bit of a nuisance.
