Half Moon Cay

Do the market on Half Moon Cay take cash or credit? We are going to have our three kids with us and I know they will want to do some souviner shoping and my husband and I may want to also. I just worry about carrying that much cash around or even putting it in a locker.

There are a few little souvenir stands. Typical tourist stuff. T-shirts, key chains, etc. They take cash. However, you may want to wait until you get to a port that offers more. What other ports are on your itinerary?

AHOY SHIPMATE

Only a couple shops on HMC that uses US$ ...There is a store from ship that uses your room key account. YOUR CASH IS SAFE ON HMC

Nassau has a lot of shops in Terminal and a greater verity CASH only,

BE CAREFUL WITH VALUABLES IN TERMINAL AREA.

Nicer stores only a block from pier for lotsa shopping.

ANTIQUE SAILOR

SEA YA.

The biggest tourist draw is the Straw Market, just a short walk from the pier. You'll see several vendors there selling the same touristy stuff. The majority of it, such as straw tote bags, hats, key chains, etc. is imported. Don't be afraid to negotiate on the prices.

HMC is basically a beach day and not a shopping port.

I second this. I did NO shopping and spent my day in the water and then ate the BBQ lunch they served, hung out in the bar for a bit but I'm not a big drinker. Give me the beach!
