Is Uber available from Orlando to Port Canaveral

If you look at a map you will see that it is about 50+ miles from MCO to PC. If you could find an Uber driver willing to take you he is almost for sure going to drive back to Orlando empty.

The CAPT or one of the other PC area locals might have better insight.

This site gives Uber fare estimates: http://uberestimate.com/

As I type this only UberXL is available from MCO to PC for about $125-145  -- for about 1/3 of that you can rent a car one way which will give you the flex to stay in any hotel you choose, dine where you choose, and shop where you choose. ;)

As John says, the Uber option is not cost-effective because only UberSELECT and UberSELECT-XL can do pickups at the airport. The rates are in line with private black-car rides from several transportation companies so you are not looking at a money-saver!

However, if you are leaving from a local Orlando hotel then UberX can get you to the port cheaper, but there are even cheaper options (from the airport or hotels) if you are willing to share rides (from $15 upwards one-way per person!)

Will you please explain more about the free shuttle from port canaveral to/near the airport.

a trick ....

take the free shuttle to a hotel near the airport and sit in their lobby

then call your UBER

it will cost you time but may save you $

Good thought, but I bet most hotels check to see if you have a reservation when you call for pickup at airport. Then again, I could be wrong......

standard UBER is blocked from the airport

"simple" hotels have shuttles that do not require ressies

I'll not mention specific brands ...... but one is a holiday ... or WAS last time tried .....

"Hey I need a room ..... can I get on?"

There are ways to get from MCO with UberX by going to the Hyatt located on site. It's a little roundabout but doable. There's numerous threads on what to do from people who have on the Orlando TripAdvisor forum, or google it. I've just never done it myself.

Drivers may have to drive back empty if they can't get a fare in PC but will usually not be too broken up over a long haul fare.
