Loudermont Posted February 27, 2017 #76 Share Posted February 27, 2017 We had a price drop on the casino fare for our April trip. We prepaid our cruise. What they did was refund the difference back to our credit card. I don't know if that helps answer your question. sk8rmomof3 Posted February 27, 2017 #79 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Do you have to sign up for the price protection to get the drops? Was that extra money to sign up? And I prepaid the entire cruise already, so would I still be eligible for drops?

mmbaldwin Posted February 28, 2017 #81 Share Posted February 28, 2017 I'm on hold now to talk to someone. Our total price (for all three of us) dropped by $170 today. Hopefully we get on board credit. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

mmbaldwin Posted February 28, 2017 #83 Share Posted February 28, 2017 They wouldn't do on board credit for me since we booked with casino offer. But got upgraded from a standard balcony to an extended aft view balcony. Win! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sweets2323 Posted February 28, 2017 #84 Share Posted February 28, 2017 U can also do a mock booking and see if it changed Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Sent from my iPhone using Forums Next time, book early saver at the time of the original booking, then immediately price match to the casino offer.... You then get the best of both worlds (lowest price when originally booking / ability to price match later on).

DebJ14 Posted February 28, 2017 #87 Share Posted February 28, 2017 I checked the 2 cruises we have booked. One stayed exactly the same in price and the other went up $100.00 per person.
loanshark Posted February 28, 2017 #88 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Where is this casino offer?? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Must be logged in to Carnival's website to see it... I normaly hold my mouse over the area near the top that says "Manage", then click on VIFP club. The system then asks me to login if I havent already. From there you can click on "My Offers". If you are eligible for a casino offer it will be listed near the top under "Special Offers". If you are not eligible for the casino offer than you will not see it. Loudermont Posted February 28, 2017 #89 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Casino offer is usually offered to those who used the casino on a prior cruise.
Engrvrgal Posted February 28, 2017 #90 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Luckily I did get one price drop before final payment on my April Conquest sailing....but I got lucky on that one since one 8F cabin came available, thus letting me request the adjustment. I should kick myself for picking an 8F....but I went with same on the Vista for next year...hehe We are also sailing on the Conquest in April. I was so excited today when I got a call from Carnival to upgrade from my balcony cabin to an Ocean Suite for only $200 more per person. I took the offer. I've never sailed in suite before...so freaking excited!! To me, that's as good or better than a price drop!!!
sweets2323 Posted February 28, 2017 #91 Share Posted February 28, 2017 What deck is 8F? Was that an ocean view cabin? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

loanshark Posted March 1, 2017 #93 Share Posted March 1, 2017 What deck is 8F? Was that an ocean view cabin? Sent from my iPhone using Forums 8F is a balcony cabin.... as far as what deck, it depends on the ship, and how close either to the front or mid-ship that the cabin is located.... In most cases, Panorama or Spa deck

I don't usually answer calls from numbers I don't know (scams and telemarketers), but I'd hate to miss an upgrade call. Enjoy your cruise and your fabulous upgrade! Thanks! mmbaldwin Posted March 2, 2017 #95 Share Posted March 2, 2017 I'm on the phone again now. Price dropped another $90 for us. The lady on the phone says that is not a standard request and she has to get approval. Hmmm...

imajavalover2 Posted March 3, 2017 #98 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Carnival specials are now saying On board credit "up" to 125.00 per stateroom. I received a $50.00 on board credit when I booked. Can't find any of their cabins that are giving that credit amount! Even the most expensive grand suite is still saying $50.00 when I do a pretend reservation! False advertising just to get the ship filled. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
threadcrapper Posted March 3, 2017 #99 Share Posted March 3, 2017 My cruise is doing the $125 - but my spa interior is sold out so nothing. Maybe the upgrade lady will call.......
Loudermont Posted March 3, 2017 #100 Share Posted March 3, 2017 I read the fine print when I looked at a booking and it said 25.00 credit per person up to 5 people per cabin.
