Looking for a quieter family beach in Roatan (6 adults/6 kids). Would like amenities, chairs, bathrooms, bar, food etc available but also would like a little space so we aren't heaped on top of each other or other's just off a cruise ship. Sailing NCL so it sounds like we port at Coxen Hole. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try Club Natale or Turquoise Bay. Both have websites. We have been to both if you have any further questions.

If you want a private beach with amenities on 'cruise ship day', good luck.

Otherwise, take a taxi to West Bay Beach, lined with resorts, nice places to eat and rest rooms. Clean, white sand beach and warm Caribbean waters with gentle sloping beach that doesn't get too deep too fast so the kids can play.

Disclaimer: This is the area that a lot of NCL folks go to, so you won't be alone. But the beach is long enough to absorb a lot of visitors.

And if anyone likes to snorkel, this location has some of the best in the Caribbean.

I second c-leg 5 on either Club Natalie or Turquoises Bay if you want quiet. West Bay beaches are fabulous, but they attract a lot of folks, from both ports. And the clubs do run next to each other. At certain places, snorkeling and swimming can get a bit crowded with both people and boat traffic.

Just got back from NCL Getaway with stop at Roatan. Had a bad experience with Enrigue Romirez of Roatan Explore Tours located at the kiosks at the port. Promised to take us to Paradise Beach, (group of 8). Never got on the beach there as it was full, same with all the other beaches. With 3 Cruise ships in port on the same day, the beaches are overcrowded. There is a $10.00 a person cost to go on any of the beaches in and around West Bay if you go by taxi or tour(unless cost included). Get a guaranty when booking asTour Excursions know if beaches are crowded.
