Recent Charleston Cruisers - how early can we get to port

We always have FTTF but when we went out of Charleston over the summer, everything I read said 11am. So we decided to board at 11. However, around 10-10:30 we were seeing all sorts of Facebook posts from people who were already on the ship. So we headed to port around 10:30 and was on board before 11.

We got there around 10:30 and were on board by 11:00

For those that are local to Charleston, we found it super easy to take an Uber there and back. Beauty of it is avoiding the parking mess at the Charleston port - you can get dropped off and picked up directly opposite the old Customs house and enter the ship directly - no need to deal with shuttles.
