W Fort Lauderdale post-reno?

Does anyone have any experience with the W Fort Lauderdale since their renovations this past year? The photos look great, but the reviews on trip advisor have caused me to pause. Looking for a few nights for a relaxing time at the pool ahead of our cruise, but some of the reviews indicated its a bit more of a frat party.

 

Any personal experience at this hotel? We usually stay at the Ritz which is maybe a half mile away, but wanted to try something new!

I didn't know it was under renovations but no, I have never found the pool to be a frat party as many times as I've hung out there. I actually prefer it to the RC.
