We found a tour not through the ship that gave us a great price.

 

May I ask which company you used? We will be visiting Sitka for the first time during our upcoming AK cruise - still trying to decide what to do, but would like a sightseeing tour that includes these stops. Thanks!

But the name of the tour is Birds, Bears and Barnacles.

 

We're doing this tour via HAL because they have a wheelchair accessible option on the transportation and we did not want to risk delays waiting for transport with a lift or even just a place to stow the chair. We did the Raptor Center last time we were in Sitka and it was very interesting. Looking forward to the bears and the fish hatchery/aquarium then checking out the Russian Bishop's House. We saw St. Michael's last time so probably will give it a pass.

We have not used them yet. We will be using them late May this year. They have been great to deal with. Sounds like some of the time they can only be booked through the ship but not always. It is Sitka Tours and their website is http://www.sitkatoursalaska.com.
