Summit Embarkation from Fort Lauderdale

We are leaving on a charter on the Summit on February 27th. Embarkation is scheduled to begin at 11:30. I am not sure if this is their usual time, as this is a Monday departure, which I don't believe they normally do. Because we don't get our Celebrity perks, and booked to late to get a suite, I am quite sure they will have general boarding only. Any thoughts on how crazy it will be if we plan to arrive at 11:30? Do you recommend waiting until 12 when the original crush might have wound down?

I don't recall any embarkation much earlier than 11:30. We always arrive early and check in about 10:30, but we all sit in the allocated section for the ship until they start announcing by groups to board the ship.

If you arrive at 10:30, they will likely (as they do in regularly scheduled sailings) allow you through check-in. Then you can sit in the lounge area until they allow boarding. Getting a jump on check-in means you won't have to wait in long lines.

Did this charter last year. There were no problems. Doing it again this year. The only thing I noticed because we have cruised a lot is many first timers who don't know exactly what to do and the normal boarding routine

I guess you liked it. We heard it is very good from friends who were on last year. We may not get off on the port days, been there done that. Do you know what they plan as activities on the port days?
