Norwegian Breakaway - Spring Break Crowd

Hi Everyone,

I was just curious how the crowd on the Norwegian Breakaway looks during spring break for colleges? I am booked with some friends of mine for March 12-19th and am hoping to be around a decently sized younger crowd.

We are not expecting to (or we're even looking to) be on a full blown party cruise since that really is not our style, but are definitely hoping to be around enough of those in the low to mid 20's that we could make some friends and have a exciting/lively atmosphere going around. Obviously we tend to get bored of one another's company easily. ;)

If anyone has some experience traveling at this time particularly on this cruise line, I would love to hear what your trip encompassed.

When we were on the ship two weeks ago the crew spoke of the spring break cruises and said it's no rest for them. They no actually bring on board uniformed off duty NYPD and the place is an all out party for the week long cruises. We were told you can't get into the Bliss Lounge, people are drinking from dawn till dusk, and anyone who is not on the cruise for spring break has a bad time.

So, yes, you will have a good time.

The cruise is pretty much sold out (except for spas and suites. The mean age on the cruise will be lower. But remember, anyone under the age of 21 needs to be accompanied by an adult (21 or over). Probably 1/3 under 30 - 2/3 over 30. Have fun.
