I am considering a Northern European cruise and would like to know if the Lido Pool is usable on Northern cruises?

When, and how warm do you need the pool to be?

The cruise would be around the end of June (to Norway and Northern Scotland). I don't need the pool to be very warm BUT I am pretty sure given the temps at that time of year in that area, it would have to have the dome covering it to be swimable for me.

 

Has anyone done something similar and been swimming in the covered pool area?

On all of our late-April and May cruises to Alaska, the indoor Lido Pool roof has been both open and closed depending on the outside air temperature.

The pool is heated and the space itself can be climate (temp) controlled when the magradome is closed, so the Lido pool will be useable regardless of outside temps/weather.

That's great - if we decide to take this cruise using the pool will be very important to us.

We find the water temp in HAL ships too warm, so a northern Europe cruise might be the best for swimming!!!
