You can initially only pick the time. If you don't like the restaurant they pick just change it when you board. The reservations people are set up right where you board the ship.

There's little or no benefit of pre-booking if you are unable to choose the restaurant ?

I had questioned the online booking process when I called celebrity a couple weeks ago and I was told that I can decide what restaurants I want when I board the ship. You do have to use one of your dinners either day one or day two. The rest can be used any night of your choosing. The benefit to booking it online is you save $40.

I am by no means an expert on cruising, but I hear choosing day 2 is a smarter option because they usually offer big discounts of about 50% as soon as you board for day 1 specialty restaurants.

The web site was difficult to get checkout priced correctly. Finally called Captain's Club and it took two to get my reservations finalized and paid for. Thanks for the previous replies, they were helpful, and I booked for 3 specialties beginning on day 2.
