Rare Dorhead1230 Posted February 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I am booked in a BA bump-out balcony on deck 11 in April. We've had aft-facing on BA twice, but I didn't take one this time because my boyfriend has felt very aware of the engine vibrations both times. I've done some searches on CC and Google about the bump-outs and seen some pictures. I've seen one or two posts from people saying that they asked for a lounge chair and were able to use it on a bump-out, and some other posts stating that there would be no room for one. I know that if it were even possible, it would have to be sideways. I am just curious if there is anyone out there who has been able to do this? Also, would I just ask the cabin steward? I really don't like to ask for anything outside the norm, but if it were possible it would make me very happy! Thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide! worktocruise610 Posted February 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I believe they are called angled balconies. I booked on on the BA for October, first time having one. Checked several threads & from what I've been told, yes they are big enough for a lounger on there. One poster said it was on their balcony while another said she just asked her room steward & they brought it in for her. If you can, please post some after pics, I would love to see what it looks like. Have a great time on your cruise!
Son of a son of a ... Posted February 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Yes, you can get a lounger to fit. We had an angled balcony. Not sure about asking the steward for one. Forward facing will be windy at sea. We liked going on deck for sun due to the limited vector of sunshine on the balcony.

FreestyleNovice Posted February 26, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 26, 2017 You might consider a M6 mini suite or the BX balconies all the way up front on deck 8, those are really great balconies and the M6's have standard loungers.

Thanks for the idea. I avoided the BX because I would rather sacrifice a bit of balcony space than be all the way up front. If it were Bermuda and we were going to be docked for days, I probably wouldn't mind, but I'd rather avoid the wind when we're sailing every day on the Bahamas itinerary. We were comped a balcony by CAS this time, so probably won't bother with the mini upgrade. I'm fine with whatever space we have this time; I mainly was just wondering what to expect [emoji4]. Maybe this will help. Thanks for the photo! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
