Venice On A Sunday

We are on the Spirit in late July and the itinerary takes us to Venice on a Sunday (08.00 -18.00). Any advice on what is open/closed would be welcome thanks.

Venice is a major tourist spot so all the sites will be open. It's a lovely place, be sure to be up on deck around 6am for the sail in and be on the starboard side of the ship so you get the great views of St Marks Square. Enjoy:)

Opening times may be different. For instance St Mark's Basilica is only open in the afternoon.

Sailing into Venice on a Sunday morning is simply amazing. The sound from all of the Church Bells is a must. Get up early and have a nice Bucks Fiz on the Top Deck. Have a wonderful time :-)

Thanks for the replies. Glad to know most things appear to be open. Was a bit concerned as when we were in Messina on a Sunday a few years ago most things were shut. Definitely looking forward to Venice. Been there once before on the Majesty and loved the sail out down the Grand Canal. Will try and see the sail in this time.
