electrical power outlets

I've carried and used either a 3 or 4 plug power strip on every cruise I've taken - including on river cruises. I leave it in plain site on the desk top recharging items during the day with never a word said about it.

Just avoid any kind of power strip or multi-outlet plug-in with surge suppression, which is contraindicated and unsafe for marine electrical systems. If you are uncertain about what type to buy, at least make sure it's plug has only two blades.

In various threads on CC, marine engineer chengkp75 has explained this in great detail.
