ABQrobin Posted March 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2017 You have to book an excursion. There is zero snorkeling in the port, no beach either. The outer islands are the place you want to go. Dozens of excursions through your ship or private companies. You have to take a boat regardless.
OCruisers Posted March 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Taking a boat excursion that gets you out to their barrier reef (2nd largest in the world) -- awesome snorkeling. :D

high-plains-drifter Posted March 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Thanks, does anyone have names of the excursions or a company to use.We will be traveling with an 8 yr old who loves to snorkel, Would like some recommendations. Visited there last year. Used "Coral Breeze" tour service and were very satisfied. Did the Snorkel and Caye Caulker tour. It was a 45min boat ride out to Caye Caulker. Once there we went out to the reef and had an awesome tour. Many fish and great coral. We then went in for a meal on the island. Afterwards we made it back to the tender pier with plenty of time to spare. Ck for reviews on the tour and have a great trip!
