groovechick Posted March 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2017 Have just realised that our cruise calls on a Sunday in August, which is also 2 days before a big religious festival. I am wondering whether all the attractions, especially the toboggan, shops, etc. will be operating as normal in view of it being a Sunday and possible preparations for the big celebration (the island's patron saint, I believe). Any info. greatly appreciated!

WCAS74 Posted March 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2017 Hi, We were in Madeira on a Sunday (4/3/16). Everything seemed to be open. We rode the cable car & watched the sleds. Walked around the Monte area & had a glass of Madeira, The Ronaldo museum was closed (had thought I might get a souvenir for my son!);). Enjoy!
