Adventure ocean kids club advice

hi, we are experienced cruisers, but are bringing the grandkids for the first time. People rave about the program and we think grandkids will love it. At the end of the cruise is a gratuity customary ??...also any other information that we should know...thanks, !!:D

On our last cruise (first with kids) - it seemed that it was NOT customary to tip them as they are fully paid.

 

That said - we have the group of 9 councilors a single envelop with all of their names and cash in it to share and also gave several a shout out on our survey. They were amazing and made our vacation amazing.

 

To put it in perspective - extra tips we gave:

 

room steward $20

Head waiter $20

Waiter $20

Assistant waiter $20 and bottle of champagne that we hadn't opened

AO Staff $100

 

 

ETA: I'm pretty sure we were one of the only people to tip that AO staff - but whenever we saw them in or out of the AO, they were amazing.

We have tipped on a few occasions.

However; I don't think it is customary but they will not turn it down
