Crusin Karen Posted March 16, 2017 #26 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Vanilla vodka, coconut rum, pineapple juice I googled it and got a bunch of different ingredients. One (actually FROM Jack's Shack) has a liquor whose name I don't even recognize (which is earth shattering!)
nancychic Posted March 16, 2017 #27 Share Posted March 16, 2017 FYI- just to clarify- you can only get drinks while playing. Can't pop by the casino bar and grab a drink before you hit the slots. Must be at a machine/table. I found the servers to be pretty prompt but especially when they saw I was tipping $1/drink. I practically drowned in the Chocolate Mocha all week! LOL :D I had the same experience. This will be my first time to start out with the DOU card, usually I earn it. Since the drinks you buy already have gratuity built into the price, I rarely tipped for service before getting the card. But after getting the card, I always tipped $1 each time because if the drinks were comped to me, then the servers probably weren't getting anything extra. That $1 works wonders. jakeT Posted March 18, 2017 #30 Share Posted March 18, 2017 You can order anything you like with DOU card. Most they can say no, if the drink is too expensive. But I order premium brands and have no trouble getting them
Crusin Karen Posted March 18, 2017 #31 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Does anyone know if the servers still get their 15% tip even tho they are serving a free drink? We always tip $1/drink anyway, but one cruise we had a not too nice server a few nights and she moaned and groaned about serving DOU passengers because she was getting "nothing out of it" (tips) We noticed her telling all her customers this and most gave her extra $. Then the next to last night we had an AWESOME server (Ms. Complainer was nowhere to be seen) and he said that was not true and she was just looking for some extra $. But it just got me wondering....does anyone have the real story?
