Embre Posted March 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2017 This is my first time cruising with Carnival since they implemented the assigned check in times. Can someone explain how these times are assigned? Can you request a specific time? If so how?

maryred Posted March 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Not all ports, ships, or itineraries have the staggered check-in time, but if your trip does the choice will be part of your online check-in process. Keep in mind some ports, ships, or itineraries will have the choice available from the date the cruise is listed for booking while others due to many different reasons may not show the choice until 3-4 months before departure day. BEST thing to do is start your online check-in process as soon as you have a confirmed booking to get the best chance of reserving your most optimal check-in time. If not shown at this point and you have more than 3-4 months till the cruise keep checking weekly for the option. If with-in the 3-4 month window start checking daily for the list of check-in times. If very close to sailing (days) all choices maybe booked up and Carnival will assign a time that is at least 90 minutes prior to sail away.
