mchlhaystead Posted March 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Good Morning, can someone tell me if Conquest now is American Table? Will it be after drydock? Thank you

cruizergal70 Posted March 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 20, 2017 American Table is food. It's the new menu in the MDR. Some people have a hard time dealing with change and will complain about it. Food is food. You will not starve on the ship. If one has such delicate palates, they should look into special culinary cruises.
del525 Posted March 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Just cruised on conquest 2/26/27 and I don't care for the American table menu. Not near the choices on each night that carnival used to offer.
thephillykid Posted March 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2017 No tablecloths either.

I am so sorry you can't discern the difference between edible and good. Food is food? What a sad commentary on your life experiences. How low can your bar go? Not starving pretty much covers your expectations but not mine.
bakersdozen12 Posted March 21, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2017 Carnival lists all ships that have the American Table menus right on their website. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1107/~/dinner-concept%3A-american-table-and-american-feast Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
cruizergal70 Posted March 21, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 21, 2017 I am so sorry you can't discern the difference between edible and good. Food is food? What a sad commentary on your life experiences. How low can your bar go? Not starving pretty much covers your expectations but not mine. I was raised by parents and grandparents from the rural south. I was taught that if you have food...any food...then you are blessed. I have gratitude for not being one of the millions of people starving each day. I also spent over 10 years in NYC with access to the top restaurants and chefs in America. Great food but I wouldn't esteem that food any higher than a hot dog from a street vendor. In both cases, I didn't go to bed hungry. I can't look down on that because one option was less fancy than the other. So yes, food is food. I count my blessings daily. Pellaz Posted March 21, 2017 #10 Share Posted March 21, 2017 Although there are fewer choices on the American Table menu (and horrors, no tablecloths, O the humanity), we were quite pleased with the MDR selections on our cruise on Conquest in October. First time in several cruises that we ate EVERY night in the MDR, and I only had to resort to the "Everyday choices" side of the menu once. BoDidly Posted March 21, 2017 #11 Share Posted March 21, 2017 What is American Table?? It's been 4 years since our last carmival cruise! Karen It's a piss poor excuse to what actually use to be a good food menu . Not a complaint ,just an observation. ;p
