Lightweight Posted March 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2017 My husband and I will be cruising in August on the Radiance of the Seas southbound tour. We have a glacier paddle trek booked for Juneau, whale watching in Icy Straight and renting a car to drive to Yukon in Skagway. Pre-cruise we have booked a flight seeing tour from Anchorage, 2 days salmon fishing, Exit Glacier and glacier/wildlife cruise with Major Marine Tours. We are still undecided on what to do in Ketchikan and looking for any advice or suggestions. We are considering three options: Float plane to George Inlet Crab fest Kayaking in Orcas Cove with South Seas Kayaks Bear Creek Zipline with Alaska Canopy Adventures Also wondering if we would be able to catch the lumberjack show after any of these tours. We are in port from 9 am to 6 pm. Welcome any feedback from anyone who has done any of these tours or similar with different vendors.
Budget Queen Posted March 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Yes, you likely will be able to add the lumberjack show, but, if you are planning walk up, you'd need to get the tickets early in your port day. They do sell out.
midwestchick Posted March 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2017 We're doing the Bering Seacrab Fisherman's Tour, highly recommended by my TA. You'll see a lot of eagles and wildlife. alaskacrabtour.com
