Fantastic review! I see a lot of comments from people that I will be cruising with April 29th and can't wait. I also like your positive spin (there will always be minor issues, but it's how we handle them). A bad day cruising is better than a good day at work!

I believe that I have read every post on your review, but I might have missed some answers.

Did you notice an extra charge on the room service menu? We have never ordered room service, but were thinking it would be nice to eat on our balcony this trip.

Do you have the unlimited soda package? Have you noticed the Freestyle machines running out?

 

Also, I see that the band Rock the Boat starts May 6, if you happen to ask someone on the entertainment staff who is replacing Resurrection (I believe that's the name of the cover Journey cover band) I would appreciate it!

Neither one of these will dampen my spirits while on board, I would just like to be prepared.

My back aches at the thought of this, but if we were younger !! Look out!

 

 

 

I guess we could bemoan the lack of cool stuff like this when we were younger in the stone ages of the 70 and 80's but we had fun no matter.

You'll also have to check out the casino on your sailing 5/6 and they'll have a singer named Andy Avery performing in the casino a few nights from 9-11 pm. Even though he also sings a few Journey songs, his voice sounds like so many other artist, i.e., Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra, Lee *********, to name a few.

Beatles Tribute Band - The Liverpool Legends

I have seen them on Anthem and Navigator and thought they were terrific.

They have their own theatre in Branson.

There is a phone number on the website and you can call and ask when they might be back on the Anthem.

There are I think 3 different Beatles group. I have seen 2 of them. One is excellent and one is just o.k. I do agree the Liverpool lengends are terrific.

My family and I will be on your same cruise. In the past, I've found them to be strict on the age with other activities; a teen who was turning 18 a few days after the cruise would be over, wanted to play in the adult dodgeball tournament and it was a no go for him. One of our sons is turning 18 on April 30th and it would be nice if we could play in some adult sporting event tournaments together but, I expect the same and that it will be a no, since he won't be 18 yet. Maybe someone has specific experience with that on the circus thing. If not, you may want to make direct contact with the ship staff beforehand or if you can't find an email for it, ask once onboard.10 Days till we board!!!! :-)

I do not know but hopefully someone can post some experience. You are probably correct as many of the waivers are online so I assume they may be tied to each person info, so can possibly track ages instead of the old way using height and such to determine who can participate.

We will be boarding on the 17th for 12 nights. Our 9th on the Anthem. I was hoping coco cay opened a private beach area for suites since we have been there in February. Enjoy your upcoming in the cabanas.

 

The wife will be the one mainly enjoying it, along with our eldest son. Me and our younger one will be off in the sea, doing our 1st and 2nd open water dive, as part of our PADI certification through the ship. Hopefully I'll get to enjoy it for a little while, later in the day, before we do jet ski tour.

So last we left off we were deciding between heading to Atlantis and the water park or using Anthems water park.

 

One can describe my back as a trick back, as it constantly tricks me out into thinking I am in control lol. Well one missed step descending from deck 11 and my lower back creaked and moaned like our cabin and in that instance Seadog became the hunchback of Nassau.

 

It must have heard us discussing the lazy river at Atlantis and said uhh now way big fella.

 

So several advil and a visit to the empty Solarium Whirlpool and it has loosened up a good bit, but we are going to enjoy Anthem for the day.

No Cheryl I don't, but when we see him on the May 6 sail date I will ask for you. You know he always plays on the CR Golf events and I know last year you saw him on a different CR sailing :). The next Golf event on Anthem is the 9-9-17 sailing, hoping and wishing he's on-board.

 

Just a thought, you can reach out and ask CR about Andy's sail dates which I have done in the past and have had good luck with then getting back to me. Hardly any of the reps will know off hand who Andy is---lol-- but some reps will go out of their way to find out for you. You can also ask CR to send an email to the Corporate CR office, I know for a fact Miami has Andy's schedule.

No tickets to see any Tribute bands but get to the venue, Music Hall & Two70 a good 30 mins. or more before show time if you want a good seat.

They will perform one show in the Music Hall and one show in Two70. On longer sailings, I have seen Tribute bands perform two shows in the Music Hall. Bring your dancing shoes :)

Thanks Linda - (our next scheduled cruise on Anthem is the New Year's cruise.) A few more on other Royal ships before that. For you its easy to go on the Anthem.... for us - its an airplane to all ports...
