martyap Posted March 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2017 We board next Sunday and we have a credit card on record. Would I be able to use a prepaid debit card to satisfy my bill instead? When should I notify RCCL of my intentions prior to them charging my credit card?

However, you may be able to use it to pay the balance at of your account at the end of the cruise. Another option that has been reported to work is to use them to purchase OBC. If you do that, you could get a refund of any excess in cash on the last day of the cruise.
cb at sea Posted March 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Just use them NOW, to pay down your expenses. If it's a prepaid "VISA or MC", then your bank should be able to cash it out for you. I hate those cards!
martyap Posted March 30, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted March 30, 2017 That's exactly what I did. It was a $500 rebate on new A/C so I figured out how to transfer the entire balance to my checking account. Much easier!
