vacationlady Posted April 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2017 We were on a cruise during Christmas week and stopped in Roatan. We had rain and overcast weather during our day, but it did not keep us from getting out and enjoying the island. You can read about my post and see pictures here. http://winenchocolate.com/our-day-in-roatan/
Rare sid_9169 Posted April 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2017 If you don't mind me asking, how much was that awesome plate of crab and lobster at Gio's? I'm going back to Roatan next month...
vacationlady Posted April 25, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted April 25, 2017 I think it was $40 or $45. It was so worth it as everything is fresh. Allow plenty of time as they cook it fresh.
arkiesgirl Posted April 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Thank you for posting! We're visiting Roatan in June. I know a great deal has changed since my visit 20 years ago. I'm happy to have discovered your blog!
Sky616 Posted April 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Thanks for your posts of your day in Roatan and Costa Maya. We are also going to Cozumel but I haven't checked it yet to see if you posted there yet. We used your itinerary that you did in St. Croix on our cruiselast year and did most of what you did. It was the best day of our cruise.

Soleil's Mom Posted April 28, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 28, 2017 Thanks for sharing. We'll be in Roatan in October. I do have a quick question about the vanilla. We always buy ours in Cozumel, and now the regular vanilla we can buy in the grocery stores tastes like crap. Is the vanilla from Roatan as good as Mexican vanilla? Not as concerned about cost, as much as taste. Thanks!
vacationlady Posted May 2, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted May 2, 2017 I have only used the Roatan vanilla so can't really answer your questions. Its so cheap on Roatan, just pick up a bottle and try it.
