Genoa dilemma. Help!

What do you recommend to do if you disembark your cruise at 9.30am in Genoa and your taxi to Genoa airport is around 1.30pm? So you have approx 4 hours to kill...with 4 big cases, 4 bags of hand luggage and 2 kids.

Going straight to the airport does not seem appealing ..the kids will be bored. And Genoa airport is quite small!

Can you give me an idea of what options are feasible? What would you do in this situation? Where to go? What to do?

Thank you so much!!!

We´ve been to Genova in 2014. The airport is pretty small and there´s no luggage deposit there. You can´t get rid of your luggage early.

We had a transfer to the airport in the morning for a 5 pm flight. We took the local airport bus to the train station downtown. There is a luggage deposit near track 11 (was 5 Euro per piece back then, might be more in the meantime). The historic downtown area is pretty nice. You can take the funicolar Zecca - Righi for a breathtaking view over the town. There´s also an elevator up to Spianate di Castelletto - another great view. The cathedral is pretty nice. So are the small streets. Don´t miss to eat a focaccia bread which is a local specialty.
