Thank you floridalover5623 for your comment...my thoughts exactly . I will admit that I was "ignorant" on the pollution caused. I honestly thought that it was a relatively environmentally way of travelling but now that I have been made aware of the underhand disgraceful way they behave ...flouting the law...double standards it has made me have a rethink. As I said in my initial post if a crew member can be "sacked" for throwing a cigarette butt over the side then they should be judged on their own...not mine... criteria that they have set then someone should be "sacked" likewise. I would think that dumping tons & tons of filth year in year out is rather more polluting than a cigarette but of course that is only my opinion and I could well be wrong.
