Changing the TV input on the Regal

I am sailing on the Regal Princess this Fall and I am wondering if the TVs have HDMI ports that are usable. Also, if I bring an HDMI cable and plug my computer in, how could I change the input?

Buy an inexpensive programmable remote. Look up the brand of the TV (probably View Sonic) and follow the instructions for that brand.

I've been reading that you can't change the input even if you have a remote that has the capability. They've got them locked down so there's no changing allowed.

I thought I read they are disabled.

I just unplugged the hdmi cable going into input 1 and plugged mine in. Worked fine

That worked for me ... in a balcony cabin.

 

In a sideways-inside, the tv was over the desk, but in the corner.

Unfortunately, the inputs were on the corner side, and there was no way to get to them.

 

Also, regal and royal have both viewsonic and samsung TVs
