casino rate?

I received an offer of a casino rate for our upcoming cruise. It's a little cheaper but it doesn't say anywhere what this entails. When I called Carnival they said it usually includes a credit - but you have to go to the cage in the casino to get it.

Does anyone have experience with what exactly it includes? The lady I spoke with yesterday said sometimes it includes vouchers as well? Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks,

In my experience the casino rate is a little lower, usually $100 or $200 than other rates. You also get casino cash, this has varied for me anywhere from $50 to $200. I almost always book the casino rate. It's not a lot off but it seems to be the best rate available for me.

I booked the casino rate also when it showed up as an option for my booking. I later emailed asking if there was any kind of "perks" that came with it and this is the response I got:

We show that you have booked the PZ1 Casino Rate promotion. This offer provides an extremely low rate. We don't currently have any other perks or benefits associated with the booking. We have forwarded a copy of the confirmation so you can review the detailed promotion terms and conditions in case you have any questions.

So no casino cash or obc with mine and I would guess that unless it is mentioned in your offer than you are just getting the low rate. I will say that with fareviewer I have not noticed a rate within $300 of what we booked ours at. So it has been a good rate to have.

For me, the casino rate is available to book and I usually get something in the mail about the rate and also a coupon/voucher for some casino cash. I've gotten $100 in the past, for my most recent one I got $50.

Yes, you do have to pay the full $250pp deposit, but you're going to have pay that amount eventually anyway. Besides the benefit of the reduced rate, my casino rates have always been fully refundable unlike the easy saver fares.

Thanks,

I just booked a cruise with the casino rate and was told that we receive $900 from the casino when we board. They base the cash they give you based on your points you earn during play time in the casino.

Wow!! You all must have played a lot to get that much money!! I was happy to save $100 with the casino rate but getting any additional money would have been really nice! I did get an offer for several Premier cruises but the cash was only $100 which wasn't worth it as I would have to fly to Florida. If it was more than I would have definitely have done it and will keep an eye out in the future as those cruises sound great.

I've booked and sailed on several PC3 casino fares. Started as a $300 give back, now it is down to $200. You get DOU card for ordering drinks in the casino and lots of other perks.

There are several different levels of casino fares, and each level is determined by your previous play. Each level has different cash give backs. but I think the cabin gifts are pretty much the same.
