brookmill18 Posted June 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2017 Is the age minimum 16? I have seen "13-15 gym registration" listed on several of the older compasses so wondering if our almost 16 year old will be able to use the gym. Thanks!
spookwife Posted June 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2017 You must be 16 to use it alone. The 13-15 registration is a scheduled activity with the teen club. Whether they will check his sea pass card, is open to debate. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare crewsweeper Posted June 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2017 If your 15 year-old looks like a 16/17 year old or older in size and knows how to use the equipment properly and doesn't waltz in with a posse acting like the "Rock" and goofing, I doubt anyone would say anything. If your 15 year old looks like a 12 year old, i.e. a gymnast type, then some one may say something. But most likely it would be a person who works in the gym, not a fellow passenger. mixplix Posted June 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 2, 2017 my 12 year old used the treadmill on the jewel and no one questioned him
brookmill18 Posted June 2, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted June 2, 2017 Last summer when he was just shy of 15, they put my beer in front of him 3x on the cruise--so I don't think he'll get carded in the gym! Hopefully he'll mostly use the running track anyway. I was curious about the line in the compass--was thinking maybe it was some kind of training session so they could use the gym. Nice they offer that at times for the younger teens if they like the gym. Thanks!
