bacruiser4life Posted June 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2017 We are considering catching another cruise ship out of the Port of Miami later the same day we arrive in Port Canaveral. Would appreciate suggestions on the best way to get down to Miami. We are not opposed to renting a car. Would it be easier to take the ship shuttle to Orlando airport and then catch a shuttle to Miami to the ship? All suggestions appreciated. Thanks you. hrhdhd Posted June 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2017 Going to MCO will add almost two hours to the trip (not including any wait time) which is not a good idea if you have a ship to catch that day. Rent a car!
Capt_BJ Posted June 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2017 I'm not sure what 'shuttle to Miami' you are thinking of ... the two ports are 200 miles apart your only reasonable option is a rental car (unreasonable would be pay a limo) your distance is around 225 miles ...... drive time around 3 hours add time at the rental places on either side ..... I'd add 30 minutes EASILY ..... you need 4+ hours .... can it be done? YES Stress free? NO *********** you CAN fly Orlando to Miami and in the end it will take the same amount of time as driving
