Bookworm1985 Posted June 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2017 I jut got my first upsell call in five cruises. It was to move from a inside (4B...on Deck 5 Aft) to a balcony (8J...also Deck 5 Forward) on our Alaska cruise next week. It was $520, total. I said no, but now I am second guessing myself! I said no for two main reasons...One, our family all has cabins in a row, and we like being by each other (but not a deal breaker). Two, it is literally right above the main show stage and right outside Camp Ocean. who knows...maybe something better will come along. :/
Sixtytwo Posted June 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2017 It would not have been something we would have done either. Just not worth that much to us! I'd rather spend that $520 on meals or adult beverages. :D
easyboy Posted June 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2017 I would decline as well. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
joepeka Posted June 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2017 I will be the third "you did the right thing by declining" voice. ;)
Frank12 Posted June 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Took me 24 cruises to get an offer!

I just am back from a 10-day Alaskan where I kept the curtains open and would wake early, order coffee and sit casually dressed and watch the world go by. Buffettlovertina Posted June 13, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Bookworm you must be on my cruise... I leave on the 17th out of Seattle on the legend. I also got up sell call.I did take it as I was regretting not having a balcony for the views.I moved from main deck room 4111 interior to 4229 balcony same deck. rooms above and below me so no worry about noise. tandemcruzr Posted June 14, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 14, 2017 Don't think you have cabins below on Deck 3. Looks like MDR and gray space. Not sure what the gray space is. Maybe galley?
Teachmath1 Posted June 14, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 14, 2017 For an Alaskan cruise, I would have done it.
jcruise20 Posted June 14, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 14, 2017 I think Alaska deserves a balcony or at least large window. But I would have also declined once I found out Camp Ocean was near. No way, thank you.
