Time Zone

We are cruising on Celebrity Equinox out of Florida on 7/2/17. I am trying to book an excursion in Grand Cayman for 7/7/17 and am wondering if the cruise ship operates off the central time zone or off Eastern time zone - Cayman's local time zone?

We are scheduled to be in port from 10:30am until 6pm, but I think that actually means we will be in Grand Cayman from 9:30- 5. The only reason this matters is because I am trying to book an excursion that goes out at either 10:30am or 1:00pm - depending on the time we will be in port.

Generally Celebrity ships transition with time changes to stay in synch with local time.

Somehow this was posted under EDGE threads. Maybe moderators can move it.

 

 

I recall being confused in Gr Cayman trying to plan a non ship's outing and lunch. They also post in the daily but we did not pay attention..

We always check for notice the night prior if there will be time zone changes from ship to port, which is usually the case.
