excited balcony Posted June 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2017 We are cruising on Celebrity Equinox out of Florida on 7/2/17. I am trying to book an excursion in Grand Cayman for 7/7/17 and am wondering if the cruise ship operates off the central time zone or off Eastern time zone - Cayman's local time zone? We are scheduled to be in port from 10:30am until 6pm, but I think that actually means we will be in Grand Cayman from 9:30- 5. The only reason this matters is because I am trying to book an excursion that goes out at either 10:30am or 1:00pm - depending on the time we will be in port. Any info would be helpful! Thanks!! Fish Lover Posted June 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2017 Generally Celebrity ships transition with time changes to stay in synch with local time.
Rare hcat Posted June 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2017 Somehow this was posted under EDGE threads. Maybe moderators can move it. I recall being confused in Gr Cayman trying to plan a non ship's outing and lunch. They also post in the daily but we did not pay attention.. easyboy Posted June 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2017 We always check for notice the night prior if there will be time zone changes from ship to port, which is usually the case. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Forums mobile app
