FritzG Posted June 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2017 The bridge cam shows the Caribbean P is still in Invergordon, and it's after midnight. Unless there was an itinerary change they should have sailed at 7pm. The weather looks clear. I hope they don't have another propulsion problem. FritzG Posted June 25, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted June 25, 2017 I'm answering my own question! I checked the roll call for the current sailing. A post said that they missed the Shetland Islands due to weather, and they went to Invergordon early. That's too bad because we loved the Shetlands. easyboy Posted June 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2017 Good it's not a propulsion problem. Got concerned as our next cruise is on the CB. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Forums mobile app
BarbinMich Posted June 26, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2017 I'm answering my own question! I checked the roll call for the current sailing. A post said that they missed the Shetland Islands due to weather, and they went to Invergordon early. That's too bad because we loved the Shetlands. We have missed the Shetlands twice, both on WB TAs, both weather-related. I did so much research on the main island and had arranged a private tour on our first attempt to get there so the first miss was a great disappointment. The second time we bobbed around offshore, hoping it would calm down enough to tender, so at least we got a good view of the Lerwick greater area Someday I hope we actually make it! I was stunned, though, to see that there are very few trees, at least in the area we could see. Beautiful green fields, though.
