Why are FLL 11/4/17 hotels sold out & flight prices outrageous?

Booking for Allure 11/5-11/12/17 and noticed this. Nic(er) hotels are sold out or very expensive and flights from ATL are increasing each week.

Try Orlando or Tampa, and a shuttle to Port Everglades or to FLL. Or can you come in a day early? We did that once and saved enough in airfare to more than pay for the extra night hotel and a car rental which we used to drive to Everglades National Park for the day. Hope it works out for you. m--

Teachers convention on the East Coast, alot of teachers vacation that weekend

On Nov 4 and 5th there are 10 Ships leaving out of Fort Lauderdale added the Hotel price hike, allow extra time for transportation to the Pier.

Thanks everyone. Due to other commitments, we are flying in 1 day before our 11/5 Allure cruise. Airfare and hotel are booked. They were expensive but didn't want to chance the selling out or hiking up more ...
