lakada Posted July 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Our cabin on the Fantasy August 12 cruise appears to be below the galley. Will Carnival move us to a different cabin if call them tomorrow?
hftmrock Posted July 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2017 need some more info did you pick the cabin? is it a guarantee? do you see other rooms for the same price available or is it sold out? What type of booking did you make (early Saver, past guest, etc)
lakada Posted July 3, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted July 3, 2017 I booked as past guest by phone. She told me we would get two upgrades, and assigned Empress 186 ocean view.
SadieN Posted July 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Call now, look on your cruise to see what cabins are available. Next time have the deck plans open when booking. Think of this as a life lesson. ETA---just looked on a sister ship (Inspiration). E186 is towards the front of the aft MDR. Confirm this is so on your ship, line up the elevators. If it's exactly the same, you'll hear almost nothing from above.
springs741 Posted July 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 3, 2017 If you look closely at the deck plans I think E186 is under the MDR. The upgrades have mostly to do with location. Your stateroom is a 6D. Your pricing at time of booking should have been for a 6B If you are unhappy with your stateroom just call and ask Carnival is there is a charge for a lateral move? There shouldn't be and they can help you look for a different 6D stateroom. This is assuming the "SHE" was a Carnival rep. If you booked through a TA you would need to speak to them. Carnival can't discuss you booking.
AdGuyMG Posted July 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 3, 2017 E186 is below the dining room. Not the Galley. You should not experience noise issues.
lakada Posted July 3, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Thanks everyone! The cabin is below the MDR. We can live with that!
