Switching Passengers Between Cabins.....Difficult?

We have five cabins booked......two sets of cabins were booked with two adults adjoining with two teens each. If RCCL begins to implement their new drink package requirement that every adult in a cabin must purchase could we change to one adult/one teen per stateroom? Would that be a problem to do? We already transferred the bookings to Costco so we would have to go through them.........the wives usually drink one glass of wine with dinner so a package makes no sense.

As long as you keep one of the original names on each booking, and you are booked under US/Canadian rules, there should be no problem to change the other names.

The only issues that you would have is if items through the cruise planner have been purchased and reserved as they stay with the room and not the person.

 

This caused someone to have beverages packages that had already been purchased and reservations for adult comedy shows cancelled as the person that they moved into that room was under 21.

 

I assume that you are referring to your 2018 sailing so this should not be an issue.

Easy to do as far as RCI is concerned, but some TA's don't like to process changes and some also charge to process changes, don't know about Costco's attitude to this

So does it not really matter if people switch cabins once on board?

 

For example, you book 2 cabin classes. A standard balcony and a suite. Parents and kids staying in the suite but attach the kids to the standard balcony to keep the cost down. Once onboard, kids stay in suite... Is that an issue? I imagine people try this!

They really don't care where you sleep.
