Total Rewards free cruise offer

I have an offer for a free cruise to pick up in September! Problem is I can only go Thanksgiving week (By the end of the year). It does say in the e-mail that it can be used in Miami September 2017 to March 2018. Do you think Thanksgiving will be a blackout date? Anyone have any past experience with this? I have used this certificate a couple times and you can't beat it!!

Thanks for any help

If you've sailed using TR's offers before, would you happened to kept the certificate and/or booklet that came with it ... as it would've listed any blackout dates ...

Odds are that both CAS reservation and your TR hosts at the participating properties already know the blackout itinerary dates - why not call them to ask & find out. X'mas & New Year probably are, but Thanksgiving week, maybe but possibly not. Our friends had sailed last Thanksgiving and used the offer with NCL - it wasn't blackout to them & they booked it in September (and, did the Breakaway out of NYC) There are more inventory of cabins at MIA so worth the effort calling in advance - worst case is they won't tell you & ask you to go and pickup the certificate first.

Don't forget to check airfares as award seats or travel using points are typically blacked out for those "saver" or discounted awards.

The TR offers are not as good as they used to be with lots of strange itineraries and dates. For example, my email offer said Sky weekend cruises would be available and my certificate excluded those.

I was able to book a Thanksgiving sailing with my most recent certificate, but it was not as wide open as my original certificate I received a couple years ago. There are not blackout weeks like the above poster commented, but rather just available weeks (i.e. There are a TON of weeks/itineraries that aren't available).

If you can get certificate without much effort go for it, but don't expect you'll be able to take any cruise you want.

If you have used these certificates in the past and have a previous relationship sailing with CAS - you don't even usually need to have a certificate to make a CAS reservation and get a deal. Just call them and see what they are willing to offer you. In most cases, you can get a comp or a good discount based on your prior level of play without a certificate from a land based casino.

Good advice.

I will tell from past bookings, that high occupancy cruises are often either blacked out, only have lower level cabins,or just not available for these deals. YMMV.

Very true. We just call them when we have something in mind and usually get a inside cabin comp which we upgrade. You do miss out on one extra perk with the upgrade but save anyway. Call the CAS desk 877 752 9625
