We are doing our first holiday cruise - finally.

Can anyone who has sailed on Celebrity on New Years eve tell me what to expect as far as activities on New Years eve? Or what about bowl game watching on New Years Day?

Thanks,

We sailed on the Equinox on NYE a few years ago. They had a countdown, hats, noisemakers and champagne, and a great dance party at the pool. Bowl games were on in Celebrity Central. Hopefully someone who has sailed on NYE more recently will respond. We had a great time and hope you do too.

I was on the Reflection last New Years Eve. There were parties and music around the pool, in the lounges and in the Atrium. In general, ,most people were dressed as if it was an ordinary night. There were some that were a bit more formal.

I was on Equinox this past NYE. It was fantastic. They had as you listed above as well as a balloon drop over the grand foyer. They were serving Champagne all over decks 3 and 4 (free). The casino tables closed for about 30 minutes so the staff could also go to the countdown. Outside parties were planned but changed due to weather.

They did a fantastic job IMO.

To the OP - you will enjoy.

We will be on The Summmit this season, and I was wondering the same thing, what can we expect. I will be watching for responses. Happy New Year!
