Action Dave Posted July 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2017 We will be cruising Europe next embarking in Rome. Air fares seem pretty high. Does any one have any suggestions on finding lower airfares.
anandaindonesia Posted July 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Take a Trans-Atlantic cruise, maybe? Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk
Rare Manbo Posted July 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Check WOW airlines. They fly through Iceland out of major US airports. Pretty reasonable. AND use search sites like KAYAK.
Rare ColeThornton Posted July 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Dave, this is probably the wrong forum to ask in. For airfare information check out the Cruise Air forum. Link: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

Chigirlcruzin Posted July 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2017 I priced air to Rome the other day. It's over $1000 cheaper than what I paid this year.
WendyD Posted July 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 25, 2017 We are cruising next May on the Epic out of Rome and we were able to get cheaper airfare from Delta Vacations when we booked a package with hotel. The total price for hotel prior to cruise for 4 nights with airfare was cheaper than what airfare was on delta.com. It was like getting the hotel for free and a $1000 discount on airfare. So, if you are planning to stay in Rome pre or post cruise it might be something to look into.
gottacruisemore Posted July 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 25, 2017 You really just have to watch the prices. When I first booked prices were $700 to $1,000 then one day out of the blue it was under $450. Recently my mom decided to join me and I thought we were going to have to pay the higher prices and I just kept an eye on it and I was able to get hers for around $530. That was for ORD to FCO. PaulInPGH Posted July 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 25, 2017 If you have the time and flexibility in planning your trip, you might want to consider looking at flights to and from other cities. For our upcoming trip, we're going on a bit of a treck around Europe in addition to our cruise on the Epic, and we're flying into Paris and flying home from Venice. This flight configuration turned out to be $500 less per person than just flying to and from Rome.
