using power strip in cabin

many posts have recommended bringing a power strip to use in the cabin due to the lack of outlets. Are the outlets of the 3-pronged grounded type or is an adapter needed to convert the strip to the older two-pronged outlet type? Thanks.

I use a 3-pronged plug. I highly recommend a power strip as the outlets are so close to the face of the desk that the rechargers for your equipment can't be plugged in. I have a laptop computer, shaver, and camera battery chargers that all need an outlet. A power strip is a necessity when we cruise.

Basically you have two three-prong outlets right next to the phone. Every time I plugged my battery charger in on Coral it pushed the "steward" pager button. He thought it was pretty funny.
