P&O Cruises and Cunard Line to Offer Same-Sex Marriages at Sea

I don't think the cruise lines make much money on the wedding packages themselves. Rather, it is from the additional bookings that they get from the guests of the bridal couple.

But I'd wager that the same sex marriage Reception in the Commodore Club would generate a few bob.

Does that mean our favourite watering hole on the three ships will be closed for wedding receptions, same sex or nor both sex? oh joy of joys. Have never seen a wedding there can only hope I never will.

No. Weddings usually take place in the Yacht Club or smaller ones in the Admiral's Lounge. They may reserve a couple of tables for the wedding party afterwards but that is no more intrusive than a CC meeting or Friends of Dorothy gathering so wouldn't worry.
