Electrical Outlets on Oceania?

Should I bring a long some adapters or are the electrical outlets on Oceania US compatible for plug and voltage?

 

We're on the Nautica on 2/5/06 from Hong Kong to Bangkok. Thanks!

The Insignia had both European and US style plugs right next to each other. Since the ships are supposed to be virtually identical, I would expect the same on Nautica.

When Nautica was the R5 it had the same outlet set-up as the other "R" ships. I doubt this has been changed.

I don't know about the Nautica, but in April, 2004, the Regatta had two 240 volts and two 110 volts sockets on the desk. Besides, it had one 240 volts and one 110 volts sockets in the washroom. Unfortunately, for the 110 volts sockets, only the two on the table fit the regular U.S. plugs but the one in the washroom did not. Hope this helps.

Depends on how many sockets you think you'll need. We just disembarked from the Insignia and she had two 110 volt sockets (US style) and two European sockets above the desk, which was enough for us. There's also a one 115 volt (US style) socket on the hair dryer, but it says it's for electric shavers. If you bring a converter, make sure it's set for the right voltage - we lost a curling iron and clock radio on the cruise because it turned out the converter caused them to short out!

 

We brought a clock radio for the illuminated readout - the clocks provided in the cabins are little battery-operated ones whose dials illuminate only when you're pressing one of their buttons. We like to be able to see what time it is at a glance, particularly when you're waking in a darkened stateroom.
