Any chance MSC will sail from Galveston?

MSC has never mentioned it . NYC will be next.

We were on the Seaside last July and an officer told us that MSC will be sailing out of Galveston in two years

I remember when people were asking would MSC ever sail from New York;  it's happening this year with Meraviglia!  OK, they only have 2 sailings to Canada before repositioning to Miami, but, I guess they're testing the waters (pardon the pun) before making any other commitments to the port.

 

I would be surprised if they didn't have their eye on other US ports to grow the business.  Their focus, for now, is building a loyal base out of Miami (including building their own terminal there).  Also, with the number of ships coming onstream (2 a year for the next number of years) they're going to have to expand their embarkation port locations.

Im really hoping for an Alaskan itinerary.  Out of Vancouver would be perfect 🙂
