rpmljm Posted September 26, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted September 26, 2017 Actually they did in our stateroom and my daughters, they were brand spanking new and I slept like a log for nine nights!:D Where was your stateroom?
rpmljm Posted October 1, 2017 Author #27 Share Posted October 1, 2017 You can bring a rolled up air mattress, and use it if the room steward can't get you comfortable. Mine is made by Klymit Static V on Amazon. Others on CC have reported they like it... Thanks. I looked at them online. Would you put one of these under the bottom sheet? CLE2CRUISE Posted October 1, 2017 #28 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Thanks. I looked at them online. Would you put one of these under the bottom sheet? I'm home today and literally sitting with the heating pad on my back thanks to the awful bed! Lol. Good luck, rpmljm! I don't know how you extra firm mattress folks do it! Johnamac123 Posted October 1, 2017 #29 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Thanks. I looked at them online. Would you put one of these under the bottom sheet? That was my plan. However, I sent in a request to special needs for a mattress topper and I couldn't have been happier with my bedding. I'm planning on bringing my air mattress on all future cruises. It makes me more comfortable knowing I've got plan B if needed.

It makes me more comfortable knowing I've got plan B if needed. Did you send in that request before the cruise, or after you boarded? If you did it before, how did you do that? I booked through a TA and asked her to request one, but should I call RCL directly? Thanks so much!

CLE2CRUISE Posted October 1, 2017 #32 Share Posted October 1, 2017 special_needs@rccl.com I sent this request also. The reply was that they no longer have mattress toppers for 'sanitary reasons'. They did offer me two mattress pads, which I had upon arrival. It really made no difference for me. Today. We're on that December cruise also.
