Running/Walking Routes in Juneau and Victoria

Going to Alaska for the first time in a week. I'm in the middle of a 5k training program and want to keep my mileage up while I'm on the cruise, I know there's a gym and a walking track on the ship, but when I have time in port, I'd love to be able to do my runs there. Does anyone have recommendations for routes in Juneau and Victoria? These are the only ports where I'll have time. Looking for pretty short routes (my longest is 2.25 miles), that are relatively flat if possible (not sure it is :)), and close to the port.

Anyone have suggestions? Is this doable?

in Victoria you follow the road along the sea to Beacon-hill Park. From there you could either run back directly to the pier or follow streets to the government buildings then back to Ogden Pier.

Try mapmyrun.com and go to "find routes". I'm guessing you'll be able to find some runs that start right at the cruise dock from past travelers.

Select Ogden Point as you starting point. This what the cruise pier is called , it is also a freighter port in winter.

In Juneau, just run along the water, in either direction from your ship's berth. Depending on where you dock, you may need to battle your way through the tourist crowds, but depending on which direction that you go, they'll end past The Hanger or Taku Smokeries. If you go 'north', you'll be on a sidewalk and can go over the Douglas Bridge and back. 'South' takes you along a narrow two lane road, Thane Road, but it does have a bicycle lane on the shoulder. Be warned that the weather has been absolutely awful for most of the summer, with wind, heavy rain and cool temperatures. The Gastineau Channel (where Juneau is located) is like a wind tunnel and makes for some carwash like conditions as you run.

Skagway is flat, and has very quiet uncongested streets outside of the tourist shops. You'll be able to run easily for a couple miles around the town itself.
