Kramer995 Posted September 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2017 Hello! We will be docked in Split from 7 am to 3 pm. Do you recommend going to Trogir being short on time (is it worth seeing)? I've read Split is a charming town to DIY. I do not want to feel rushed, but I also want to maximize the short time we are there. Thank you! Rare fabnfortysomething Posted September 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2017 I would say yes-we found Trogir to be a good addition to Split it was quieter and our guide suggested a cheap local beer at a outside bar apparently celebrities tend to anchor their yachts in Trogir and tend to remain un noticed

kennygCruiser Posted November 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Trogir is a great little city and not as busy as Diocletian Palace. We stayed in Split for 4 days this past summer. The palace is great, very easy to walk around, but in the afternoons it does get busy. I would recommend walking into the palace and wandering around. You will see lots of certified guides that do very reasonable walking tours in case you want more history. We did a boat tour via Viator that took us to an island to swim and then to Trogir for about an hour. If you didn’t want to hire a guide, you can easily catch a cab to Trogir, it’s only about 20 min away.
