Going on 16 night South America cruise. Question...

How many formal nights will there be, do you think? Imagine it might be a bit dressier as so many non-Americans will be on board. We actually like to dress up!

The HAL S.America cruises we've been on were all dressier, with many Europeans and S. Americans.

I hadn't considered the dressiness question in this regard. Thank you for posting it. We have a S.A. cruise this winter. For the ladies more sparkle? For the gents, a tux?

More sparkle, definitely; tux not quite as popular as they used to be, but go for it if you like! Dark suit would work, maybe a splashy tie?
